Leah MacNab, NBA Canada Managing Director, Joins Mission Critical Live
Bay Street Bull’s Editor in Chief Lance Chung sat down with Leah MacNab, Managing Director of NBA Canada, for Mission Critical live. The podcast’s third live recorded episode took place at Toronto’s CLIO Social Club and was presented by Nature’s Bounty Melatonin Gummies. The event saw a crowd of entrepreneurs, c-suite executives, basketball enthusiasts, and creative leaders who were greeted with welcome glasses of prosecco and charcuterie boards during the networking portion of the event. During the main portion of the evening, MacNab—who is tasked with overseeing Canada’s basketball and business operations in the NBA — spoke about the importance of advocating for oneself, how the roles for women in sport have evolved throughout her career, and the ways in which the league is leveraging technology to drive a more streamlined fan experience. In regards to her personal career, McNab spoke about how persistence allowed her to get her foot in the door of a competitive industry and the challenges she believes still remain in the male-dominated industry today.
